How long are photography courses in universities in Ecuador?

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012

My friend is leaving to go and live in Ecuador soon and is planning to study photography at University. How long are the courses over there? (roughly)

Thanks in advance :)

About 1cm to infinity with many lenses these days, otherwise around 1 meter to infinity for most standard 50mm lenses for 35mm photography.
Some courses fit into 50 meter buildings and some also take in 50 kilometer and larger landscape views.
Astro photograpgy courses take in many millions of light years given sufficient exposure.
Ecuadorian market traders take in quite a number of tourists who think they are getting an absolute bargain and Ecuadorian hotels take in many tourists who actually do get an absolute bargain compared to north American and European prices..
A certificate course in Photography lasts for six months or one year depending on it’s intended level of competence, a full BA degree course lasts for three years and a masters course for four years.
Here is an Ecuadorian photograph showing what might have been a 50Km+ landscape view compressed into a more usuable size by Fourrier Transforms optically produced by a lens, but grossly hindered by atmospheric effects

Lucky friend. Ecuador is a great place to be.

“For more than a decade, Jason Youn has been shooting professional photographs for sale and hire. He developed a love for photography while camping in the Arizona wilderness with the Boy Scouts. He has sold his work in several countries, and in various shows and galleries in his home state of Arizona.
Jason is also regarded as an excellent teacher by his peers and students. After looking, and not finding a suitable guide with witch to teach his photographic lessons, Youn embarked upon his own photography guide.
“I found that there was no great photography book that could articulate the complexities of both the science and Art of photography in a concise way so as to not be so cumbersome that no one would want to read it. It is for this reason that I have been prompted to write this book” ~ Youn.”
