Hello there!
For lace i would study Prada’s latest collection, They have used lace in everything and the detailing is exquisite. Look at how lace is crafted, the different types of lace, wikepedia wil give you the basics about lace. You could concentrate on a certain countries method’s in making lace or on a certain period in history when lace was used and how we use lace in this century. Here is a runway review talking about the use of lace in prada’s collection http://www.style.com/fashionshows/review/F2008RTW-PRADA/

A lot has already been done with animal prints ….. the actual design of their camouflage, designs with the heads…….
I would like to see someone make a design based on the detail of the animal print itself….. say a leopart, cheetah or tiger…… to kinda ‘blow up’ the design of their camouflage and take a section of it and make a design from just that section….. maybe swap the colours of the camouflage around to create a negative of their prints….
Perhaps you could try this …..
Then design a piece of clothing that has some relation to the print – the overall ‘feel’ would be of the animal from whom you’ve got your inspiration…..
